There are plenty of things that could make it tough for you to doze off at night, whether it’s a hectic schedule, a busy mind, stress, or the like. But having a few foolproof sleep tricks up the sleeve of your nightshirt could be all that it takes to turn another night of tossing and turning into a night of totally blissful sleep. Here, some of our tried and true methods of getting a good rest night after night.

Get the temperature just right.

The temperature of your bedroom can play a major role in how well (or how poorly) you sleep at night. For the best rest possible, aim to keep the temperature in your room between 60 and 67 degrees Fahrenheit. You might also want to try getting your body temperature down a bit by taking a cool shower before hopping under the covers.

Do some pre-sleep yoga, meditation, or stretching.

Because a racing, stressed out mind can be the ultimate enemy to a good night’s sleep, it can always help to do some yoga or stretching exercises before bed that help relax your body while clearing your mind of its cluttered thoughts. For a great night’s sleep, try a sequence of stretches and yoga moves to do before bed.

Have a (sleep-friendly) snack before bed.

While eating too much right before bed can be the thing that keeps you awake, there are plenty of lighter snacks that are not only okay to have before bed, but might help promote a better sleep altogether. Try some bananas with a bit of peanut butter, or a bit of yogurt. Different foods like these have nutrients that help relax your mind and body, and help increase the release of sleep-promoting hormones like serotonin in your body.

Power down the lights – and the electronics.

If you’ve heard it once you’ve heard it a million times – technology and light are never conducive to a good night of sleep. To help you get a good night rest, try leaving all technology – think your phone, laptop, etc. – out of your bedroom entirely, or just make sure to power everything down an hour or two before you want to sleep. And for the best sleep, make sure that all of your lights are turned off or are super dim. And to make sure you sleep well al through the night, you can even snag some blackout shades or curtains to block out lights and distractions outside your window.

Try some reBloom.

Even with all the best sleep tricks, it never hurts to have a secret weapon in your quest for better sleep. That’s where reBloom comes in. The all-natural, non-habit-forming sleep drinking is one of the easiest ways to boost your sleep every night, which in turn boosts your daily energy and productivity on the regular.
